Year after year - this is an experience brought to you exclusively by Viktorianz. It is a 9 Day - 8 Nights motorcycle experience. For the first part of tour we begin in Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland and ride to the lush green countryside and mesmerising highlands of North Scotland. After 5 days of picture perfect ride, we return our bikes and take a train to Liverpool. There is then a connecting evening ferry to Douglas, on Isle of Man - a Mecca for Bikers' community.
This is a ride which is high in demand but with limited slots. There are only 12 slots for 2018 season - we normally have them taken up fast. So don't miss this golden opportunity - Book now to avoid disappointment.
A superbike expedition, 1300+ km, 5 days of scenic ride that includes a single malt distillery, historic battle places, Isle of Skye turn table ferry, famous castles (James Bond) and umpteen lochs and glens falling enroute.
As you land at Edinburgh, we shall receive you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel , which would be close to city centre. For best use of time, we advise you to take a flight that lands in the morning of Day 1 - hotel check ins are mostly in afternoons. After you check in and a bit of rest, we would take you to a Bus Top tour of Edinburgh, the spectacular capital of Scotland, full of history and culture. We would than leave you on the Royal Mile to explore the city yourself, and return to your hotel. Next day would be the day we pick up bikes and ride out North.
This morning you pack your bags, put on your riding gear and have an early breakfast. We would transfer you to the BMW show room to pick up your pre-allotted motorcycles. The basic motorcycles on the offer are very good standard BMWs 650 - 800 cc. The higher models such as 1200-1600 ccs are available at additional costs. Your guide rider from Viktorianz would take you on highway road across the Firth of Forth ( name of river) - an estuary (firth) that separates FIFE to North and LOTHIAN to South.
We then swing to the back roads across to some beautiful Lochs (lakes) and Glens (valleys) on to Queens view point. The ride then progresses to Pitlochry to our 16th century hotel. As you get to this medieval hotel lodge, there is more waiting to happen.
This day we continue our ride into North Highlands - through the inner roads. Our first stop would be at the Commando Monument - these handful of men, who changed the war history of Second World War - the Commandos were raised and trained here. We further ride to the beautiful town of Fort Augustus - this is where the famous Loch Ness starts - may be you could spot the water monster of the Ice Age - the 'Nessie'. Loch Ness has more water in it folds, than all the lakes and rivers of Scotland put together; mesmerising indeed. We ride along the western edge of the Loch to reach Inverness and the Glenmorangie distillery. Night halt is in a typical seaside town of Dornoch. This place is closer to Arctic circle, than London.
This day begins early and we ride to Western coast. The first halt will be at Ullapool by the Loch - the hotels and lodges here are centuries old. You get a feel of a sea port, while it is not so. Its the Lochs all along. We then turn south and ride some beautiful roads to Isle of Skye - we shall cross our bikes on a turn table ferry - that for your information is the only known operational turn table ferry in the world. So that is unique for sure. We then ride to the historic town of Fort William, a short halt here and then on to Glencoe - the infamous site of a massacre that till this day evokes Scottish sentiments. This is where we halt for the day.
This morning is a beautiful ride when you ride your way back to Edinburgh. We are back on motor-ways and with a small coffee halt we ride back to motorcycle yard for return of bikes. Once done, you will be transferred to the Waverly rail station for train to Liverpool. This is where we board out ferry to Isle of Man - a lot more thrilling action is waiting for you at the Isle. You would then be transferred to your pre-booked accommodation. This would be 01 June, Friday.
