About the region
Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh cover most of Northern Himalayan region - which has a landscape and moonscape like nowhere else. It is largely a journey with wind in your face - spiced with adventure, nature and culture, to some of the most beautiful and rugged parts of the world.
The Kashmir valley for centuries has been called the 'heaven on earth'. Ladakh particularly is a spiritual realisation of a dream. Here the brown mountains break into fantasy colours - as you look closer at the bright green oasis around villages in the river valleys. Centuries old monasteries, perched over rock cliffs, cradle the ancient traditions of mystical Buddhism, exquisite frescoes and priceless thangkas.
This highest cold desert in the world is a journey of self-discovery at altitudes exceeding 12000 ft above mean sea level. You pass the deep river gorges as you explore to the world's highest motorable pass- the Khardung La. This route is surely one of the toughest motorcycle rides anywhere in the world. The Viktorianz bring you a bike tours to Leh Ladakh that will leave you mesmerised. A life changing journey it will be.
Did you know that the road leading to Ladakh is the same trail that was used by caravans going to the Silk Route centuries and centuries ago? If this isn’t awe inspiring enough, the roads leading into the region are only open four months of the year – for the remaining eight, they are covered in snow.
For many riders, the highlight of Leh Ladakh bike tours is Khardung-La, the highest motorable road in the world. To pass from Leh into the Nubra Valley, you will need to drive your motorcycle along a road that sits at 18,380 feet. It is surely an exhilarating experience.
Is altitude sickness a problem?
Because the Ladakh region is so high in the mountains, we recommend driving in prior to start of your bike trip to Leh, as this will save you two or three days of acclimatisation. If you choose to fly into the area, we recommend arriving a few days early to avoid being hindered by sickness.
Is petrol easy to come by?
It is important to remember that petrol pumps are few and far between in this region. When travelling between Manali and Leh, for example, the next pump after Keylong is 365 kilometres away! It is for this reason that you must plan meticulously whilst on Ladakh trips by bike to avoid being caught out with an empty tank.
Your flight from Delhi would be an early morning one. On this day when you arrive Leh by air you would witness one of the most beautiful sights of Leh valley amidst the spectacular Himalayan peaks. "After having my first adventure ride with Viktorianz, I can't recommend them highly enough. The planning, organisation and tour leadership is excellent. Ankit was a great guide and Mike was very responsive with any questions i asked. Communication is clear and they were very flexible with requests and I always felt like i was in very good hands. Not to mention that their prices are very reasonable compared to other companies. Thank you Viktorianz ~ "

" A fantastic setup, great people running this company. I had a memorable time riding in Leh. The information about the trip was spot on and complete, the arrangements all around were top notch. Great memories, safe rides, a very knowledgeable and warm ride lead in Ankit. Will be back. "

" Viktorianz organised my most memorable road trip ever with great concern civility and in no time. In fact within 24 hours from proposing defining to refining the trip. Special thanks to Mr.Ankit. Safely and extremely rewarding in conducted in most professional manner and guided by a thorough gentleman with Vast Himalayan and trans Himalayan experience. Special thanks to Mr.Atul Dalal. Viktorianz know these places like their own backyard steering out of toughest terrain and conditions with great ease. Satisfaction and safety of clients/ guests is paramount. "

" Starting of 2017, me and my wife decided to kick off our bucket list by having bike trip in Ladakh in month of May. Once we decided, we started our online research, two of the most critical requirements we had were safety in such challenging terrain and convenience.
As we looked into may reviews online one name kept popping up continuously was Viktorianz, although it initially sounded bit expensive to do bike trip with them, but we were looking for someone with good track record and I guess there is no match to Viktorianz. During the whole experience of planning the trip, it was really great professionalism from Viktorianz, which helped us build our confidence, even though family and friends were quite worried. I was personally also bit skeptical in terms of how this experience will turn out. Even though I did many long trips on bike during my young age, I had no bike for almost last 5-6 years and without any recent experience, taking on such adventurous trip was bit of stretch for me.
We took bike trip in first week of May (1st May – 8th May, 2017), although the summer starts at same time in Ladakh region, when we arrived in Leh, winter decided to extend its stay and that made our trip extraordinarily memorable. Right from advising us on every small detail about planning the trip, Viktorianz team did excellent job, they patiently handled all our queries and provided all the details. The hotel we stayed during our stay in Leh was really good and one of the best in town., every stay during the bike trip was made extremely comfortable, including the tents at Pangong lake.
One of the key for stay in such high altitude is to get accustomed to low oxygen level and stay away from altitude sickness. And this was precisely in center of everything Viktorianz planned for the bike trip. Viktorianz has great team, and they get best local support team (local guide, 4x4 back vehicle, bike mechanic), bikes were so well refined & oiled machines, that I never realized that these bikes were on rent! Best part of this bike trip was our team leader and coordinator for this bike trip, Ankit, great guy with so much energy and exuberance, but same time extremely humble and caring, I think this trip without him would have not been such great experience!
Final words! I read some where that “buy experiences rather than buying materialistic things!” and it wouldn’t be anymore true than when I bought this experience with Viktorianz, one of the best decision I ever made! "

"Col Mike mixes the adventure, nature and culture so well in his conduct of riding expeditions. We were very impressed with his deep knowledge of the local area and his military type of conduct of rides. His 24 years of experience in Indian Army comes in Handy at all times during the trip. He sure is one very reliable bike trip leader in India. I would go with him anytime and many times. "
