Departure for old city excursion which includes the monuments such as Maiden Tower XII, Shirvanshah Palace XVI, Karvansarays XVII.

The “Baku Acropolis”, “Old Town”, “Inner Town” – these are the names for this unique historical ensemble located right in the center of Baku. “Icheri Shekher” is the heart of the city. It was declared a historical and cultural reserve in 1977, and was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2000. The territory of Icheri Shekher was inhabited with people as early as in the Bronze Age.

Next is visit to miniature book museum, Juma mosque and a walk through the ancient streets in Inner city. We would then visit the Shirvanshahlar Palace- a 15th-century palace built described by UNESCO as "one of the pearls of Azerbaijan's architecture".

National Seaside Boulevard and a walk on the Nizami street is a must too. By late evening we would return back to the hotel.

Proceed to Gabala in the north-west of Azerbaijan. Its a ride through Azeri landscapes - a distance of 225 km covered in approx 3 hours. On the way we would visit the scenic Nohur lake.

TOUR IN GABALA:
Excursion offers cable car rides at any time of the year, skiing on the ski tracks of different difficulty level, ski training and ski school, catering service (cafe and restaurants), entertainment centres for kids, hotel and other services. Overnight stay will be in a hotel in Gabala.

In 1966 Gobustan was declared a national historical landmark of Azerbaijan in an attempt to preserve the ancient carvings, relics, mud volcanoes and gas-stones in the region. These mountains are located near the Caspian Sea, in the southeast part of Gobustan.

Ancient Petroglyphs at Gobustan National Park is UNESCO World Heritage site, considered to be of "outstanding universal value" for the quality and density of its rock art engravings, rock art images presents for hunting, fauna, flora and lifestyles in pre-historic times. We would then see the Mud Volcanoes and then ride back to Baku.

Absheron Peninsula, the ancient settlement, has the history dating to BC. The temple of fire worshippers Ateshgah (XVII century) has Persian and Indian inscriptions. The temple was used as a Hindu, Sikh, and Zoroastrian place of worship. Hereinafter we proceed with “Yanardag” excursion. It’s the Magic Burning Mountain on the emerging fuel gases from below the earth. You could also do some adventure activities here.

The modern Azerbaijan is recognized in the world through its national leader Heydar Aliyev. And the Center bearing the name of Heydar Aliyev has become a symbol of modern Azerbaijan and modern Baku. We will visit the wonderful architecture of Heydar Aliyev Center - probably the most photogenic place in Baku.

Dinner today is planned at an Indian restaurant, with some folk and belly dances.
